The World Affairs Council
WHAT
DOES THE COUNCIL DO?
The Council is the Tri-state's bridge to the
world and to an understanding of contemporary international issues. For over 80
years, this non-profit, non-partisan, non-governmental organization has worked
to broaden the knowledge and skills of local residents about international
issues.
The Council brings notable experts in
international affairs and global issues to Cincinnati to meet with educators,
students, business people and the community.
Our Individual Member Meetings,
Luncheons, briefings and Annual World Affairs Conference give members the
opportunity to interact with distinguished guests from all over the world as
well as with local residents equally committed to better understanding global
concerns.
In addition, the Council supports and strengthens education at the
high school and university level with programs and activities
specially designed to help students prepare for an increasingly interdependent
world.
The World Affairs Council of Greater Cincinnati is a member of the World Affairs Councils of America, a network of Councils covering 41 States and 125 cities. We are the largest International Affairs Non-profit in the U.S.
