Global Citizens Program
University students and faculty, professionals, students, and citizens of
Greater Cincinnati, whose discipline is relevant to international affairs, are placed in social studies classrooms at a local high school, to speak about trade, social and other international links and their significance for the Greater Cincinnati Region.
Passport to the World
Passport to the World is a program that caters to elementary school students. As they learn about the world and it's different cultures, a human face is put onto what they are learning about in school.
Thus students get to interact with people from international backgrounds. The Global Center reaches out to international students attending area universities who are willing to talk about their culture, families and so forth.
This is a highly interactive and visual program that engages the students. The Center has developed different learning tools that assisst students to better understand and picture the culture that they are learning about.

Different International Students have in the past employed different means of interacting and demonstrating their culture. From vivid power-point slides, to learning a new game, students have found this program fun and educational.
The Global Center is always looking for International Students to participate in this program. If you or anyone you know might be interested in becoming a "citizen ambassador" please contact us at: 513 621 2320 or register here and we will contact you.
If you know a school that might benefit from exposure to this program please call us and we'd be delighted to get them on with the program! |
