International Visitor Leadership Program
The International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) is funded by the US Department of State. It is designed to build mutual understanding between the U.S. and other countries through carefully designed visits that reflect the participants’ professional interests and support U.S. foreign policy goals.
Participants are established leaders or potential opinion makers in government, public policy, media, education, labor, the arts, and other key fields in their own countries.
"More than 200 current and former Heads of State, 1,500 cabinet-level ministers, and many other distinguished world leaders in government and the private sector have participated in the International Visitor Leadership Program.

Some of these Alumni are the current Prime Ministers of Britain - Tony Blair; Denmark - Anders Fogh Rasmussen, New Zealand - Helen Clark and the current Presidents of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, Ghana - John Kufuor, Israel - Ehud Olmert and Jamiaca - Howard Cooke, among others.
