Volunteer Opportunities

College Consortium on International Education

The College Consortium on International Education (CCIE) works with administrators and faculty of colleges and universities from Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana to increase ‘internationalization’ of their campuses.

We believe, education comes not only from a college text, but also through the exposure to different cultures. As such, we offer a Faculty Development Tour (FDT) to a different region of the world annually.

A Fall Faculty Symposium and Spring Student Symposium around the Faculty Development Tour destination is arranged so students and faculty can get first person insights and impressions of the region visited.

Recent FDTs included India, Brazil, and Malaysia. The Symposiums that followed were ‘India in Balance’; ‘Biotechnology’s Global Impact; and the Clash of Civilizations’.

The feedback from faculty that has participated in this has been extremely positive and showed the benefits to faculty that participate in this.
