What is U.S. Foreign Policy Today? Is there a Trump Doctrine?

August 15, 2018 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

$40.00
Join us for a discussion and debate about U.S. foreign policy. Al Tuchfarber, a conservative Republican, will present the case that there is unfolding, coherent Trump Doctrine that furthers U.S. interests. Patrick Haney, a progressive (though Realist) Democrat, will contest that, arguing that serious damage is being done to long-term U.S. interests. Regardless of your own politics or philosophy, this discussion will enrich your understanding beyond headlines and hyberbole. Guests are welcome.
Al Tuchfarber is Professor Emeritus of Political Science of the University of Cincinnati and Founder/Director of UC Institute for Policy Research. An FPLC member, Al has a growing influential blog called the Tuchfarber Report, which commetns on geo-political and economic developments.
Patrick Haney is Professor of Political Science and Associate Dean in the College of Arts and Science at Miami University in Oxford. He took his BA from the Ohio State University and his PhD from Indiana University, and teaches and writes on U.S. foreign and national security policy.
